I came across this evil genius dessert on Pinterest. I knew how to make an apple pie & taco individually. But, to think of an apple pie taco, mind-blowing. Crunchy taco shell filled with warm apple pie filling & topped with subtle whipped cream.
Ingredients
- For the Tacos
- 4 Tortillas/Maida Roti
- 2 Tbsp Butter (Amul)
- Oil For Frying
- For the Apple Pie Filling
- 2 Green Apples (Diced Small)
- 2 Tbsp Butter (Amul)
- 4-5 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1-2 Tbsp Brown Sugar/Maple Syrup (Optional) (Conscious Food)

Prep: 15 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
- For the tacos – Using a cookie cutter or bowl, cut circles from the tortilla. Melt the butter in a pan & coat the tortilla circles. Heat about 1 ½” of oil in a pan on the stove over medium heat (make sure it’s bubbly).
- Using tongs, place one circle in the oil for about 5 seconds. Flip it over and fold it in half holding it folded for about 5 seconds or until browned. Flip over and fry the other side until crispy.
- For the apple pie filling – Peel and dice the green apples. Since it’s green apple, we won’t be adding lemon.
- Over medium heat stir together butter, chopped apples, cinnamon and sugar. Continue cooking until the apples are caramelised.
