Cocoa Almond Date Balls

The almond date balls are nutrition-packed and made with just a handful of ingredients to fulfil your hunger pangs. Whenever you crave for something sweet but healthy, these sweet balls are a delicious option as these are gluten-free. This is also a vegan recipe. Almonds are full of nutritional value and add crunchiness. Whereas perks of adding dates are, it helps to boost energy and its natural sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Almonds
  • 1-1/2 Cup Dates (pitted)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil or Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • Coconut (grated)

Preparation

Prep: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes


  1. In a blender or mixer coarsely grind the almonds.
  2. Then add the dates, peanut butter, cocoa powder, coconut oil and grind till all the ingredients are crushed and mixed all together.
  3. Make equal sized balls and keep it in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  4. Roll the ready balls in toasted coconut and store in an airtight container.

USEFUL TIPS

The basic ingredients are just almonds, dates, and coconut oil. I also add some cocoa powder to give it a twist of taste and peanut butter which gives it a buttery flavour. Coating the balls in the grated coconut gives it a finishing touch.
