Coffee Cake

An easy cake recipe made for coffee lovers. What’s not to love about this dessert? We love the coffee coating that lends added sweetness to the addictive bitterness of the cake. Give the banana bread some rest and bake this coffee delight next.


  • 1 ½ Cup Whole-Wheat Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Warm Water Mixed With 2 teaspoons of Coffee
  • 3/4 Cup Oil
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Choco Chips and Walnuts (chopped & optional)


Prep: 10 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes

  1. In a bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. In the other bowl add black coffee, oil, sugar and whisk nicely. Then add lemon juice.
  3. Now add flour little by little and whisk till well mixed, add walnuts and choco chips.
  4. Now pour the batter in a tin and bake for 25 minutes or till done.
  5. For the frosting take 4 tablespoons of icing sugar, 1/2 tablespoon coffee and little water for mixing.
  6. In a bowl whisk all above ingredients nicely and pour it on a cooled cake.
