Crispy Rawa Prawns this one dish is commonly made in many households in kokan (Coastal area of Maharashtra) A quick and amazingly delicious prawns which are usually served along with kokan style seafood thali. A perfect party starter, and also a delicious snack to go along with Chilled Beer!!
Ingredients
- 1/2 Kg Prawns
- Ginger-Garlic-Green Chilli Paste
- Red Chilli Powder
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- Turmeric Powder
- Salt to Taste
- 4 – 5 Kokum
- Oil to Fry
- For the Coating
- For the Mixture of Semolina and Rice Flour (coating)
- 1 Tbsp of Rice of Flour
- 2 Tbsp Of Rawa
- Add Little Salt
- Red Chilli Powder
Preparation
Prep: 40 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
- Preparation time includes marination.
- Firstly, Marinate prawns with Ginger-Garlic-Green chilli paste, red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and most importantly Kokum (Garcinia Indica).
- Marinate the prawns nicely with all these ingredients, keep it aside for 1/2hr.
- Then coat it in a mixture of Semolina & Rice flour, shallow fry the prawns on a medium flame until they are golden brown.
- Serve hot with mint- coriander chutney.
