Recheado is a fiery and tangy goan condiment. It is mostly used as a stuffing for mackerels and other seafood. It is so versatile, it can be used for marinating chicken, prawns or even paneer for a vegetarian option, this masala is found in every Goan household.
Ingredients
- 100 Grams Kashmiri Chillies
- 10 Cloves of Garlic
- 1 Inch Ginger
- 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Peppercorns
- 10 Cloves
- 2 Inch Cinnamon Stick
- 1 Marble Size Tamarind
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 2 Cups Vinegar
Preparation
Prep: 45 minutes
Cooking: 5 minutes
- Soak all the ingredients in Vinegar for 45 minutes.
- Grind the ingredients without adding water. (If you feel the masala is dry add a little vinegar)
