Homemade Hummus

This hummus as easy as it can gets! It’s versatile and rich in plant-based proteins. All its ingredients are packed with nutritional benefits. Perfect for guilt-free snacking.


  • 1/2 Cup Soaked Chickpeas
  • 3 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 4 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Beetroot
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp Cumin Powder
  • 4-5 Ice Cubes
  • Salt to Taste


Prep: 20 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes

  1. Soak chickpeas overnight and the next day boil in two cups of water for 5-6 whistles or till turns mushy.
  2. Let it cool down. Till then boil the beetroot and cut it into small pieces without the skin. Keep aside.
  3. Now grind the sesame seeds to powder.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and blend till you get a smooth consistency.
  5. The hummus is ready! Store it in the fridge for better taste.
