A fusion of khichdi and instant noodles, this recipe is a departure from the normal khichdi. It’s a versatile, unique and yummy pot meal that kids and adults would relish alike. Laden with lots of vegetables, Maggi Khichdi is a quick version of comfort food that is simple to prepare.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Rice
- 1/2 Cup Moong Chilki Dal
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric
- Salt to Taste
- 1/2 Packet Maggi Noodles
- 1 Packet Maggi Masala
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Small Cup Capsicum
- 1 Small Cup Onion
- 1 Small Cup Carrots (boiled)
- 1 Small Cup Peas (optional)
- Coriander for Garnishing
Preparation
Prep: 10 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes
- Take 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 Moong Chilki dal and 3 cups of water. Boil in a pressure cooker.
- Sauté onions till golden brown in a pan and then add capsicum and tomatoes to it. Sauté again.
- Add 1/2 cup water more and put Maggi instant noodles and masala.
- Mix the khichdi with Maggi in the pan.
- Garnish it with coriander and lemon. Serve hot.
