My love for paneer is incomparable! It’s versatile, healthy and you can experiment with it in different ways to get your protein fix. This recipe is a very easy vegetarian delicacy.
Ingredients
- 500 gms Paneer
- 2 Onions
- Ghee (as required)
- 1 Tsp Jeera
- 1 Tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2 Tomatoes
- 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tbsp Chilli Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Garam Masala
- Kitchen King Masala (optional)
- 1 Tbsp Besan (gram flour)
- 2 Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- Curry Leaves
- Salt to Taste
Preparation
Prep: 10 minutes
Cooking: 45 minutes
- Heat 2tbsp ghee, add 1 tsp jeera and onion paste to it. Sauté till the raw smell goes off.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry properly till cooked. Then add besan (gram flour), fry the gram flour till cooked.
- Now add all the dry masalas mentioned in the ingredients and season with salt as per taste.
- Add tomato puree, cook on a medium flame for 5-10 minutes, add 1 cup water (depending on the consistency of the gravy you like). Sprinkle some kasuri methi.
- In a separate pan, add ghee, chilli powder and turmeric powder and shallow fry the paneer. Once brown, add them to the gravy and grate some paneer (cottage cheese) on it.
- For the tempering, add ghee, 2-3 Kashmiri red chilli, jeera and curry leaves. Pour it over the gravy. Serve!
