Simple Onion Rings

This recipe cracks the code of crisp and succulent onion rings. Best served as snacks with pre-dinner drinks or without any occasion or on that cheat day when you crave an indulgent and satisfying option, these onion rings will come to your rescue.

Ingredients

  • 2 Onions (medium-sized cut into rings)
  • 1/2 Cup Maida
  • 1/4 Cup Cornflour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Herbs
  • 1/2 Cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • Milk to Make the Batter

Preparation

Prep: 10 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes


  1. Cut onions into rings and soak them in chilled water for 20 minutes.
  2. Dry them on kitchen towel.
  3. Now in a bowl, mix maida, cornflour, salt, herbs, paprika powder, baking powder to make the batter with milk.
  4. Now dip the onion ring into batter and coat them with breadcrumbs.
  5. Keep them in the fridge for 1/2 hour and deep fry them in hot oil.
