Tava Peri-Peri Sizzler

To celebrate our two-month anniversary, we thought of making a dish my husband and I both were craving – a sizzler! Incidentally, it was the last restaurant meal we had before the lockdown. As a throwback to that beautiful day and to celebrate what lies ahead, we decided to make a sizzler.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients for Peri-Peri Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Red Capsicum
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 Tsp Vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Sugar
  • Salt to Taste
  • Ingredients for Peri-Peri Gravy
  • 1 Cup Peri-Peri Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tsp Red Chilli Sauce
  • 2 Tsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 Tsp Corn Flour
  • 1 Tsp Oil
  • 1 Sachet Peri Per Mix (optional)
  • Water
  • Ingredients for Butter Pepper Rice 
  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 2 Tsp Butter
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • A handful of Chopped Coriander
  • Salt to Taste
  • Ingredient’s for Peri-Peri Paneer 
  • 500gm Milk
  • Lemon Juice
  • Peri-Peri Gravy
  • Ingredients for Mix Herbs Paneer & Vegetables
  • 1/2 Cup Red Capsicum
  • 1/2 Cup Yellow Capsicum
  • 1/2 Cup Green Capsicum
  • 1/2 Cup Carrot
  • 1/2 Cup Beans
  • 1/2 Cup Baby Corn
  • 1/2 Cup Cauliflower
  • 1/2 Cup Broccoli
  • 1/4 Cup Grated Paneer
  • A Handful of Iceberg Leaves
  • 2 Tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 2 Tsp Oregano
  • 1 Tsp Olive Oil

Preparation

Prep: 60 minutes
Cooking: 40 minutes


  1. For the peri peri sauce – Grind all the ingredients in a mixer and make a smooth puree. 
  2. For the peri peri gravy – Heat the oil in a frying pan, add all the above ingredients and stir them well until cooked. 
  3. For the butter rice – Boil the rice in a vessel for 10-15 minutes. Once cooked, let it cool down.
  4. Now in a frying pan, add butter, black pepper, coriander, salt and boiled rice. Mix well.
  5. For the peri peri paneer – Boil the milk in a vessel. When it starts bubbling, add lemon juice and curdle the milk. Next, strain the water from the curdled milk and let it cool.
  6. Make paneer cubes with it.
  7. Now heat the peri-peri gravy in a pan and add the paneer cubes. Mix well.
  8. For the mix herbs paneer & vegetables – Chop all the Vegetables (keep them big).
  9. In a frying pan, heat olive oil, add all the vegetables and saute.
  10. Now add paneer and herbs to it. Mix all the ingredients.
