During Navratri, I follow a strict sattvic diet of plant-based food and fruits, the word ‘sattvic’ comes from the word ‘sattva’, which means the one that is pure, natural, vital, energetic and clean. Sharad Navratri falls this time of the year. During this time because of the seasonal change, our immunity tends to decline as well and I find it beneficial to switch to light sattvic food diet that does not burden my digestive system. Here’s something simple I prepared, my Navratri-special sattvic fruit salad. It works wonders for your health, digestion and metabolism.
