Making granola at home is so easy and better than buying from a store because you can add and subtract the goodness depending on the ingredients you have or like. And the result? A versatile and nutritious snack that can be used as garnishes on desserts, in cookies, waffles and pancakes, eaten with milk, to make chocolates or granola bars.
Ingredients
- 100gm Oats
- 100gm Rice Puffs
- 100gm Wheat Flakes
- 50gm Sunflower Seeds
- 50gm Pumpkin Seeds
- 30gm Sesame Seeds
- 50gm Flax Seeds
- 100gm Mix Dry Fruits
- 100gm Mix Nuts
- 100gm Honey
- 40ml Olive Oil
Preparation
Prep: 5 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
- Mix all the above ingredients (left-over mix seeds, oats and bran) in a bowl. Add some honey, a touch of cinnamon and a few teaspoons of olive oil.
- Spread over a baking sheet and pop it in the oven at 180 degree Celsius for about 20-25 minutes.
- Once the edges are nicely caramelised, remove and let it cool to room temperature (you will immediately notice it gets nice and crisp).
- Store in an airtight container so that you can use them as you like.
