Paneer Masala

When you belong to a Punjabi family, you know the importance of paneer and dishes prepared with paneer because no get-together is complete at our place without paneer dishes and the use of this star ingredient. Over the years I have seen so many variations of these ingredients as my mother is a fabulous cook.

Paneer masala is one dish that you can prepare in half an hour if you have all the ingredients. And I curated this recipe, when I use to go to the office and after office hours, I had to prepare dinner but had no strength.

Prep: 15 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes

  1. Take a pan and heat 2 spoons of oil, on medium flame grill paneer cubes from both sides till light brown.
  2. In the same pan add oil if needed, now add whole spices to hot oil. When the oil is hot add ginger, garlic and green chilli, to the oil and sauce it till the raw smell goes off. Now when ginger garlic starts browning add salt and chilli powder with little water and mix again. After few seconds add tomato puree to the pan along with other dry spices and kasuri methi. Cook this masala till oil separates.
  3. Now add cream to the gravy, mix well and add milk to adjust the consistency of the gravy. Bring it to boil, add paneer to it and mix again. Now add honey to the gravy after checking the taste of the gravy. And switch off the flame.
